Respite Care Program: Provides assistance to families by giving caregivers a break from the daily responsibility of caring for an elderly or disabled relative or friend. Respite services may be used so that caregivers can shop, get medical care, attend to personal matters, rest, vacation, or cope with an emergency. Respite may be used occasionally or at regularly scheduled times. Services available: companion, homemaker/home health aide, medical adult day care, in-patient care, and Caregiver-Direction Option (CDO). Respite has a co-pay that is based on an individual’s income (Financial eligibility criteria apply).
